Common iOS 7 Problems and How to Fix Them

Common iOS 7 Problems and How to Fix Them, Apple released the all new iOS7 a couple of weeks back, but continues to provide updates as patches to fix the issues being faced by the users all over the globe till date. As an upgraded version, the new OS does pack a whole lot of latest features, but there are certain users who liked a few things about the previous iOS6 better than iOS7 just because they were simpler or more appealing before.

This post provides a list of some of the issues being experienced by users today along with techniques to fix them.

Right order of mailboxes missing with iOS7

If you have used iOS6, you would be in the habit of using your mailboxes in a particular set order but this thing has been replaced by alphabetical list of mailboxes in iOS7. The problem is not big if you have a smaller number of clients, but can trouble you if the number of large. To revert back to the previous version, all you need to do is simply click on ‘Edit’ button on the top right corner. This would provide you with a series of lines in front of every mailbox, which you can use to drag and drop it anywhere you want.

Getting the list view back in Calendar

There’s no shortage of users who tend to be addicted to the schedule they set in Calendar and view it multiple times a day to complete the work. If you are one of those, then you have noticed that there’s no list view for day in the native app now. Well the thing is that list view does exist, but it has been hidden inside a button. Next time when you open your Calendar, do not forget to click on the Magnifier image on the top of the screen and see the magic.

Difficulty while using Spotlight  search in looking for apps

If you are using the default settings for your spotlight, and try to search for an app, then you will see that instead of providing the link to that app, it provides a list of people in your contacts who use that app. For example is you search for Gmail, you will be provided with a list of people who use Gmail. To fix this issue, browse to Settings -> General -> Spotlight Search. From here, you can uncheck categories which you do not wish to be included, and even set the order of apps to give them priority.

 Problems with iMessages

A major bug with iOS7 till date is that users are able to send iMessages, but they cannot receive them. People often complaint that the messages sent are just stored in the Outbox and not delivered to the destination where they have to be. Apple is expected to provide a fix for this issue soon but till then you may try a solution which seems to be working for most of the users. Just turn iMessages off, restart your device, and then turn iMessages back on. This may help you out.

I tried jailbreaking my iPhone 4 with IOS 7 on a Windows 8 laptop, but the Cydia icon wouldn’t replace the Evasi0n icon. Then right before the bar had fully loaded, it cut me out the evasi0n jailbreak box.
