Apple iWatch reportedly set to be unveiled in September alongside new iPhones

Apple iWatch reportedly set to be unveiled in September alongside new iPhones, There seems to be a new report in town concerning Apples wearable that has been speculated to be called iWatch. The report has it that its launch will be in September after the fall as opposed to earlier suggestions about October. This is according to a report published by Re/code claiming that the wearable will be launched alongside the revelation of iPhone 6.

Below is an extract from the report:

Apple now plans to unveil a new wearable alongside the two next-generation iPhones we told you the company will debut on September 9th. (Funny “joke,” Gruber.) The new device will, predictably, make good use of Apple’s HealthKit health and fitness platform. It will also — predictably — make good use of HomeKit, the company’s new framework for controlling connected devices — though it’s not clear how broadly or in what way.

Going by these reports, apple is set to have a very busy September give that also the launch of the greatly anticipated iPhone 6 is on 9 September. This rumour went viral when John Gruber, a famous figure in the Apple ecosystem, mentioned the wrist wearable thing from Apple is to be announced in September. He then quickly moved to cite it as a joke, but as it now seems it could not have been just a joke.

Another factor worth considering is that a previous report from Re/code also had an October press date that is still set to happen though what to be announced during the event is yet to be known.
